The development team of VHCAD has
always kept the end-users in mind and integrated many unique
features to the design platform to enable users to freely unlash
their creativity. Some of the following features are even absent
in other CAD systems such as AutoCAD®. |

Drawing
Property Explorer |
| |
|
You
can review all drawing properties information of a specific
CAD file "at-a-glance" by accessing the VHCAD Explorer.
Drawing properties such as layer, blocks, line types, fonts
and dimension styles can be conveniently maintained and managed
within the explorer. Blocks contained in a drawing file can
be shown as thumbnail images. You can even copy drawing properties
between. With the powerful Explorer, drafting work can be streamlined
for each particular project. |

DWG/DXF
Drawing Explorer |
| |
|
VHCAD
features a unique DWG/DXF Explorer, which displays your drawing
files in thumbnail images, so that you can scroll through the
snapshots to preview all drawings stored in various folders.
You will quickly discover this is an indispensable tool for
fast organizing and searching of hundreds of drawing files.

Drawing
Library |
| |
|
Frequently
used drawing elements can be saved as symbols or blocks to reduce
repetitive workload. While most CAD systems save symbols and
blocks on individual drawing file, VHCAD lets you save them
in its independent Drawing Libraries where symbols and blocks
are sorted by categories. This unique approach helps you avoid
waste of time on searching and retrieve a specific drawing element
from hundreds of drawings. |

Fast
Property Editing |
| |
|
By double clicking a drawing entity
on VHCAD, a property editing dialog box will pop-up. You can
modify all drawing properties of the entity such as colors,
linetypes, and layers in one take, thus improve efficiency. |

"The compact size of VHCAD makes it easy to install
in my portable computers and take it to the field. I can open and
view a drawing plan right on location, check drawings against as-builts,
modify drawings when needed and printout reference copies for field
coordination. It facilitates me to make decisions at the right time
so that chances of human error can be reduced and project delays
eliminated. Since VHCAD features OpenDWG-based DXF/DWG translators,
I can even open and edit drawing plans produced by other CAD systems
from different architect firms."
